attended puppy class, as well as those who have never attended formal training or for owners coming from other styles of training.
This class runs for six weeks. Your dog will learn leadership, attention, and the basic commands of come, sit, down, leash
walking, stay, wait, stand, etc. We will cover topics such as play biting, digging, aggression, chewing, barking, jumping,
grooming and nutrition, etc.. Your dog will graduate with superb manners!
Walk
With Me...Politely:
Teaching a dog to walk without
pulling can often be challenging, but it is so fulfilling once you can accomplish it. This 4 week class will take leash walking
to a new level. We will be working with the dogs both at the training facility and off site, in "real life" situations
and locations. This class is for those who have completed prior basic training, or with approval from instructor.
Advanced
Pet Dog Training:
This class is open for dogs who have completed basic obedience from any facility. This is
a fun class that runs for six weeks, one lesson per week, one hour per lesson. This course was developed to transition dogs
from on-leash to off-leash reliability. This class also incorporates silent training and challenges the owner to work as diligently
as the dog.
Tricks & Games:
Tricks & Games is the most fun class in dog training. This class is designed to improve
the relationship between dogs and their humans in a highly motivating environment. learning tricks and playing games accelerates
the speed of learning. Because tricks and games are so much fun, owners are more motivated to practice, and their dogs end
up with better sit-stays, down-stays, heeling, etc. Requirements: graduate of puppy or adult class, friendly to people and
other dogs.
Canine Good Citizen/Outdoor
Adventure Class:
This
class is open to dogs who have completed a beginning training class, or with approval from instructor. This is an outdoor
class that trains around some of the greatest distractions in the community. This class trains and prepares for passing of
all 10 aspects of the AKC Canine Good Citizen test. Passing the ACK Canine Good Citizen Test is a wonderful goal for all dogs
and their owners to try to achieve together. The test demonstrates that your dog is well mannered in a variety of situations.
The CGC test will be given on the last day of the six week class.
Beginning Agility:
This class is open for dogs who have completed basic obedience from any facility. This is
a great class that runs for eight weeks, one lesson per week, one hour per lesson. Agility is a super class for
all dogs. Dogs that may normally be bored by the repetition of obedience have an exciting sport that demands reasoning, speed,
and teamwork. Handler and dog quickly become a team as the handler directs the dog over jumps, through tunnels, and over a
variety of contact obstacles.
Because
agility is a team sport, it fosters a special bond between the hander and dog. Agility is also a great confidence builder
for the dog, and a great way for your dog to get in shape.
Personal Training /
Behavioral Consult:
Personal training is not necessarily just
for problems, but for individuals who have scheduling conflicts for group classes and yet wish to teach their pet desired
behaviors. Personal
training sessions are ideal if you:
- Do not have enough time to attend regular
weekly group classes.
- Want a personalized training plan developed specifically for you
and your dog.
- Have specific training needs that you would like to work on.
- Want
more one-on-one attention.
- Want to fine tune behaviors your dog "kind of" knows;
such as leash walking, coming when called, stay, etc.
- Have behaviors that you would like to
work on with more than one animal.
Personal training sessions are approximately one hour in length and are personalized
to match you and your dogs' training needs.
